西南交通大学希望学院

西南交通大学希望学院是经国家教育部批准、由首批进入“双一流”建设的百年名校——西南交通大学按照高标准、高起点的要求创办、以轨道交通特色立校的一所全日制工科类普通本科高等院校。学院设有轨道交通学院、土木工程学院、商学院、外语系、基础部、思政部等教学单位，开办本专科专业50个，面向全国13个省市招生，现有在校学生25000余人。

学院弘扬“明德励志、务实创新、竢实扬华、自强不息”的精神，坚持“以人为本、学生第一”的办学理念，坚持“以人为本，以学生为中心，把每个学生培养成才”的办学宗旨，坚持“质量立校、特色强校、人才兴校”的办学战略，在不断提高教育教学水平的基础上，全面打造“双师双能型”教师队伍，全面推进“宽基础、多口径、强能力、高素质”为特征的“现场工程师”应用型人才培养。

学院坚持“立足西部，面向全国，以市场需求为导向，建设应用技术型大学，打造国内一流的独立本科院校”的发展定位，坚持以轨道交通为特色学科，土木工程为支撑学科，以商科类专业为延伸学科的发展观，充分利用西南交通大学的师资优势、专业优势和行业背景，依托西南交通大学国家特色专业、省级特色专业、国家级、省级实验教学示范中心和校外实习实训基地，不断完善教学计划，优化课程体系和教学内容，加强实践教学环节，建成涵盖轨道交通、土木工程以及商学相关专业的现代化理实一体化实验实训中心。坚持凝聚特色、彰显亮点、兼顾发展，强化与成都铁路局、成都地铁、中铁八局、希望集团、京东商贸等企业在人才培养方面的合作和交流，注重提升学生的专业技能和创新能力，切实做好应用型人才的培养。学院积极开展国际教育合作，为报读我院学生提供便捷的出国留学途径，并已纳入英国、马来西亚、泰国、白俄罗斯、西班牙等国家国际联合培养体系，努力为国家培养具有国际竞争能力的高素质专业技术人才。

学院积极拓展“全方位”“全过程”的校企合作，通过订单培养、“3+1”、“2+1”等模式，先后与成都现代有轨电车、成都铁路局、中铁建大桥工程局集团、京东商贸等多家企业合作，实现毕业生与企业的无缝对接。自2013年起，连续七届毕业生一次性就业率均保持在96%以上，名列全国同类院校前茅，学院办学受到社会、家长和学生的广泛认可。

2015年以来，希望学院按照国家教育改革的要求，立足“转型改革、创新发展”，积极进行应用型人才培养，作为四川省首批三所整体转型本科院校之一，现已步入国家教育改革的行列。

未来，希望学院将乘着“转型改革”之东风，在应用型人才培养的道路上乘风远航。我们相信，在紧紧围绕“中国制造2025”、“互联网+”“大众创业、万众创新”等国家战略的大背景下，在全院师生的共同努力下，希望学院必将焕发勃勃生机，必将赢得更大发展。

SouthwestJiaotongUniversityHopeCollege(hereinafterabbreviatedas“HopeCollege”)isafull-timeundergraduatecollegeofengineeringapprovedbyMinistryofEducationandfoundbySouthwestJiaotongUniversity,thefirstbatchof“Double-FirstClass”initiative,inaccordancewiththerequirementsofhighstandards.WehavesixteachingunitsintotalsuchasSchoolofRailwayTransportation,SchoolofCivilEngineering,SchoolofBusiness,DepartmentofForeignLanguage,DepartmentofFoundamentalCourses,theIdeologicalandPoliticalTheoryTeachingDepartment,etc.,andweoffer50specialtiesforstudentsfrom13provincesandmunicipalitiesinChina.Currently,ourfull-timestudentsnumbermorethan20,000.

Ourguidingprinciplesarethe“FourMottos”,namely,cultivatingthevirtueandaspiration,pursuingpragmaticinnovation,promotingtherevitalizationofnation,andstrivingtobestronger.Inaddition,wearepassionateinourbeliefthatweharnessthehumanity-centricstrategyfortalentsnurturing.Weremaincommittedtobuildingatalent-intensivecollegeuponhigh-qualityanduniqueness.Ouraimistopersistentlynurturetheinter-disciplinaryappliedpersonnelwithhighquality,multiplecareeroptionsandstrongcapability.Indoingso,wefurtheradvocatedouble-professionally-titledfacultiesandconstantimprovementofourteachingproficiency.

Ourcommitmentfordevelopingistobe“anationaltop-tierindependentcollegeofappliedtechnologythatbuildsuponthedemandofmarketsbystandingonthewesternChinawithanationwidevision”.Indoingsoandtorealizethemodernintegratedexperimentaltrainingcentercoveringthedisciplinesofrailtransit,civilengineeringandbusiness,wewillunremittinglyoptimizeourteachingplans,coursesystemandteachingcontexts,consolidatingourpracticalteachingsection.Withrailtransitasthecorediscipline,civilengineeringasthesupportingandbusinessdisciplinesasextension,ourdevelopingphilosophyhasgiventheprioritytomulti-disciplinedevelopment.AsanindependentinstitutebuiltonthegloriouslegacyofSouthwestJiaotongUniversityandemployinghereducationresources,weadheretomakeinnovativejointendeavorfordisciplinarydevelopmentwithhernationalandprovincialfeatureddisciplines,nationalandprovincialexperimentalteachingdemonstrationcenters,togetherwithoff-campusbasesfortrainingandinterning.Westayfocusedonthepathofuniquedevelopment,andstrengthenthecooperationwithChengduMetro,JD.com.Inc.,andHopeGroup,enhancingstudents’professionalskillsandinnovationability,therefore,thesolidcultivationonappliedpersonneliscentraltoourpurpose.Inthemeantime,wehavemadeproactivecooperationoninternationaleducation.Uptillnow,VistulaUniversity,Poland,andusareworkinginpartnershiptoprovideourstudentswiththeconvenientapproachofoverseasstudying.Wewillmaintainourlong-standingcommitmenttofosterhigh-qualityprofessionalandtechnicalpersonnelwithinternationalcompetitiveness.

Proactively,weworkcloselywithindustriesinallround.WehavebuiltpartnershipswithseveralenterpriseslikeChengduMetroCo.,LTD.,ChengduModernTramCo.,LTD.,andBridgeEngineeringBureauofChinaRailwayConstructionGroup,etc.,achievingthedirectconnectionbetweengraduatesandenterprisesthroughmultipletalentnurturingplans.Since2013wehaverankedtopamongthesametypeofinstitutes,scoring96percentageandaboveofthefirstemploymentratesforthelastfiveyears,whichmakesusreputedamongstudents,parentsandsociety.

Since2015,HopeCollegehasproactivelycarriedouttheneweducationpolicyofappliedtalenttraininginaccordancewiththerequirementsofthenationaleducationreformandbasedontheadvocationof“TransformationandReform,InnovationandDevelopment”.Therefore,asoneofthefirstthreeoveralltransformingundergraduateinstitutesinSichuanprovince,wehavesteppedintotheranksofthenationaleducationreform.

Goingforward,wewillharnessthebenefitsfromtheeducational"TransformationandReform"andfacilitateappliedtalenttraining.Amidstnationalstrategiessuchas“MadeinChina2025”,“InternetPlus”,“MassEntrepreneurshipandInnovation”,etc.andwiththejointeffortsofourstuffandstudents,webelievethatwewillonlybeabletoreachourpotentialinteachingandresearchand,therefore,havegenuinevitalityandgreaterprospect,ifweoperateinaccordancewiththeseprinciples.
